The head of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Rafael Grossi, is expected to come to Moscow on December 22 to negotiate a security zone around the Zaporizhzhia NPP, said Russia’s permanent representative to international organizations in Vienna, Mikhail Ulyanov, who is quoted by RosSMI .

“Consultations with Rafael Grossi will take place in Moscow tomorrow, and these consultations will be devoted to the issue, or, more precisely, the initiative of the Director General to create a nuclear and physical safety zone at the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant,” Ulyanov said.

According to the diplomat, “this process is neither good nor bad, but tomorrow some points will be clarified.” The Russian side will be represented by an interdepartmental delegation with the participation of employees of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Rosatom, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, the Russian Guard and Rostechnadzor.
