In Ukraine, there is a significant shortage of capacity in the power system. Another of the NPP units is connected to the network, the power set continues. The most difficult situation with power supply is in the central region and in the city of Kyiv, as well as in the frontline regions in the east and south, NPC Ukrenergo reported .

“On the morning of December 22, there is a significant shortage of capacity in the power system. All types of generation work. Another of the units of nuclear power plants is connected to the network, and the power set continues. At the same time, there are certain restrictions in the electricity transmission system caused by damage to the main networks by systematic missile and unmanned attacks,” the company said.
“The most difficult situation remains in the central region and in Kyiv, as well as in the frontline regions in the east and south of the country,” Ukrenergo added.

According to Ukrenergo, consumption limits have been brought to all regions, exceeding which leads to the application of emergency restrictions.
As indicated, repair work continues around the clock, but the damage received to generation facilities and backbone networks is “complex and large-scale, their restoration requires considerable time.”
