“So far, we can state with regret that neither President Biden nor President Zelenskyy have heard at least some words that could be perceived as a potential willingness to listen to Russia’s concerns. (…) There were no calls for peace. This indicates that the United States continues its line to de facto and indirectly fight with Russia until the last Ukrainian,” Peskov said.
Details
He believes that the supply of weapons to Ukraine “does not contribute to the speedy settlement of the situation.” Peskov also said that expanding the range of weapons supplied to Ukraine “will not prevent Russia from achieving its goals” in this war.
“Demilitarization is one of the goals of the “special military operation” (as the Russian Federation calls the war against Ukraine – ed.). We see that, in fact, the United States and other countries are on the path of continuously expanding the range of weapons they supply to Ukraine. This does not contribute to the speedy settlement of the situation, but on the contrary, and at the same time it cannot prevent the Russian Federation from achieving its goals during a “special military operation”, – he said, promising “suffering” longer.
Supplement
