The Kyiv region has prepared for a possible offensive by the invaders, and there are several lines of defense around Kyiv. This was announced by the commander of the group of Forces and Defense Means of Kyiv, Lieutenant-General Oleksandr Pavlyuk in an interview with Suspilne .

We have also created a group on the border with Belarus, which is ready to adequately meet the enemy. The Kyiv region was preparing for a possible offensive. Around Kiev there are several lines of defense with a total length of about a thousand kilometers. There, on the basis of professional positions, long-term structures, a powerful defense system was created. The entire border with Belarus is continuous rubble, minefields. It takes a lot of effort to pass them,” Pavlyuk said.
When asked whether there are enough troops to defend Kyiv and the region, Pavlyuk replied: “At the moment we have enough forces and means. We constantly make rotations for units so that people can rest, bring themselves into a combat state. Everything is controlled in the region. People are constantly training. Our advantage is knowledge of the area, its preparation.”
