Soledar in the Donetsk region is not under the control of the Russian Federation. This was stated by the spokesman of the Eastern group of troops, Colonel Sergey Cherevaty on the air of a telethon .

“There’s heavy bloody fighting going on there. Only from 00:00 there were 76 shellings of the occupier in this direction, 10 combat clashes. Our Armed Forces, commands are doing everything to inflict maximum damage on the enemy, in personnel and in equipment. And do everything in order to align tactical positions and act according to how the operational situation currently requires. (…) The details will be maybe a little later,” Cherevaty said.
When asked if it was possible to say now that Soledar remains under the control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, he replied: “Yes.”
“Soledar is not under the control of the Russian Federation,” Cherevaty said.

Over the past day, units of the Defense Forces repulsed attacks by the occupiers in the areas of the settlements of Stelmakhivka, Makiivka, Dibrova and Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region and Ozaryanivka, Soledar, Krasnaya Gora, Pidgorodne, Bakhmut, Klishchiivka, Sil, Pervomaiske, Marinka and Pobeda in the Donetsk region.
