The Russian occupiers concentrated large forces on Soledar. Attacks do not stop even despite significant losses of the enemy. This was announced by press secretary Andriy Demchenko, assistant to the head of the State Border Service of Ukraine, during a briefing .

“Attacks of enemy assault groups are carried out by our servicemen together with units of the Armed Forces every day, especially in the direction of Bakhmut and Soledar. On the latter, the enemy has concentrated large forces, the attacks do not stop even despite the significant losses of the enemy,” said Demchenko.
He noted that the enemy is literally attacking the corpses of his soldiers and massively using artillery against the Ukrainian defenders.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported that the occupiers have now concentrated their greatest efforts on Soledar.
Military expert Serhiy Zgurets reported that unsuccessful attempts to capture Bakhmut lasted for about half a year, so the Russians decided to change the plan and surround the city and cut off all means of supply. Soledar is one of the areas, the capture of which will bring the enemy closer to the implementation of his plan.
