“It cannot be said that because of the war in Ukraine, Poland’s economy has suffered. Why? I do not rule out that the aid provided by Poland is partly financed by the EU. In addition, when refugees were redistributed in the EU, Poland declared its neighborhood with Ukraine and the flow of refugees even before the start of the war. Therefore, if Italy, France and Germany accepted refugees from Africa and Asia, Poland had a strategy to accept Ukrainian refugees. And now they have begun to attract funding from European institutions to an even greater extent, with a hint that this is the main EU country that is accepting the wave of refugees from Ukraine,” said Us.

In addition, Ukrainian refugees are also additional labor resources that also have a positive impact on the country’s economy. As the economist notes, if you compare refugees from Ukraine and Asia and Africa, Ukrainians are a more qualified workforce with a higher level of adaptation.
“The level of employment of citizens who left Ukraine for Poland is a demonstration, first of all, of Ukraine’s European integration capacity. Our citizens do not need much time to find themselves in the EU economy, and this may play a positive role for us in a few years, when Ukraine will eventually be accepted into the European Union. That is, these are qualified labor resources, which are currently partially helping the economy of Poland,” the economist said.
