Currently, there is no evidence of the creation of a powerful strike group that would allow the enemy to invade Ukraine from Belarus. However, Russia is actively pressuring Belarus to have its units join the full-scale war. “Regarding the situation on the border with Belarus. Here, the situation remains completely under control, although it is, of course, somewhat tense. Belarus does not stop supporting Russia’s armed aggression, actually providing its territory, infrastructure and airspace,” said Demchenko.
He reminded that joint exercises between Belarusian and Russian units are constantly taking place on the territory of Belarus.
“Also, Belarus and Russia do not stop inciting the situation, declaring the continued expansion of their so-called regional grouping of troops of the “allied state”. At the same time, we do not record the creation at the moment of any powerful strike group, which the enemy could use to invade the territory of Ukraine, whether it be a repeated invasion exclusively from Russian units. But we see that Russia is actively putting pressure on Belarus so that Belarusian units have already joined the war waged by the Russian Federation against Ukraine on a full scale,” said Demchenko.
According to him, the situation is also closely monitored by intelligence units, which record everything that happens on the territory of Belarus in order to understand when an invasion may take place.
