The ratio of the Armed Forces in the composition of the groups in the north to the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation on the territory of Belarus is currently sufficient, in case of an increase in the threat, there are appropriate military units in reserve. This was said by the commander of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Serhiy Nayev, in a statement shared by the command of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook .

“Currently, the ratio of the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which are part of our groups in the north, to the armed forces of the Russian Federation, which are on the territory of the Republic of Belarus, is sufficient to fulfill the tasks of the stabilization operation. That is exactly what we are doing.
In case of an increased threat, we have appropriate military units in reserve. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine provides for their immediate redeployment to threatening areas,” Nayev said, speaking about the use of internal reserves in case of need.

On January 12, Nayev pointed out that the current situation on the territory of Belarus does not pose a direct threat of any ground action against Ukraine.
