In Kyrgyzstan, early presidential elections began on January 10, as well as a referendum on the form of government in the country.
“In Kyrgyzstan, the president and the form of government in the country are elected. 17 candidates are running for the presidency, including the current acting president, Sadir Zhaparov, who came to power amid protests,” the statement said.

It is noted that more than 3.5 million voters are registered in the country, including more than 49.4 thousand voters abroad. 2,474 polling stations were opened for voting, of which 48 are located abroad. The voting will be monitored by more than 300 international observers from 44 countries, representing 35 international organizations.
63 candidates for the presidency have been registered in Kyrgyzstan, who will compete for the votes of voters.
