The preparation team at the Ukraine Portal website conducted a study on the most prominent applications that drain the smartphone’s battery power, and they were as follows:
- short message
- Snapchat chat.
- Instagram chat
- WhatsApp.
- FB
It is noteworthy that all of these applications, except for SMS, drain the batteries of flagship devices much faster than mid-range phones.
Among applications for watching short videos
- Instagram videos.
- Facebook videos.
- YouTube shorts.
- TikTok.
- Snapchat Highlight.
The conclusion of the study is that some applications consume more battery than others, and this is due to the constant search for a cellular signal, the continuous background process with active notifications, and the use of location services, including the Global Positioning System (GPS).
To check which apps are consuming the most battery, simply go to Settings, then Battery.
You will see a list of active applications.
The percentage will indicate how much energy they use.
