Poland and Canada have an identical view of the problems associated with continued provision of aid to Ukraine.
This was stated by the Prime Ministers of Poland and Canada, Donald Tusk and Justin Trudeau, during a joint press conference in Warsaw on Monday.
“We have similar views on the situation in Ukraine. Ukraine needs our help in the war with Russia, and all Western countries must act more decisively.
According to the Polish Prime Minister, the West has at least several opportunities to significantly increase its pressure on Russia.
He said he had a lengthy discussion with the Prime Minister of Canada about using the frozen assets of the Russian central bank to help Ukraine, in particular, in its recovery. Tusk added that Ukraine could use about $300 billion in the war against the Russian aggressor.
In turn, Trudeau stressed that Canada and Poland will continue to jointly support Ukraine in protecting freedom, culture, language, democratic values and the rule of law.
Trudeau also said the two countries share these values and together support Ukraine as the nation fights for freedom for all.
The Canadian Prime Minister stressed that the world has become a more dangerous place, and therefore more efforts must be made to ensure security.
As previously reported, Canada will allocate C$169 million (about $130 million) to several reconstruction and development programs in Ukraine.
