Ukraine Gate – Kiev – March 4, 2024 – Prime Minister Denis Shmyhal said in a press conference, during two years of large-scale war, Ukraine received $75 billion in foreign aid, and in 2024 it is expected to receive at least $37 billion.
The Prime Minister stressed the major role played by Ukraine’s partners in providing aid, most of which goes to meet security and defend Ukraine against the Russian invasion.
According to him, Ukraine needs and receives assistance from partners for the rest of the directions.
Shmyhal said that the plan for this year is to obtain aid worth at least $37 billion from our partners, noting that Ukraine attracted about $37 billion in 2022, and about $42 billion in 2023.
As the Prime Minister added, Ukraine is counting on more assistance, taking into account the 10-year agreements that the President signed with seven countries.
As the Head of Government emphasized, the main donors for direct budget support of Ukraine are the European Union, the United States, the International Monetary Fund, Japan, Canada, Great Britain, the World Bank and the G7 countries.
“We have help from all over the world, from dozens of countries,” Shmyhal said.
