South Korea is looking for a casino employee suspected of stealing more than $ 13 million, weighing 280 kilograms.
“South Korean police began searching for a Malaysian employee after a huge amount of cash mysteriously disappeared from a casino on the southern resort island of Jeju. Last week, Jeju Shinhwa World, one of South Korea’s largest merged resorts, filed a complaint with police. It is said that 14.56 billion won (13.38 million US dollars), all in South Korean banknotes, went missing from the Landing casino in their complex, ”the media reported.
It is stated that the disappearance of funds was noticed on January 4, 2021.

“Jeju police are looking for a Malaysian worker for stealing 280 kg banknotes,” the statement said.
Police cannot contact the employee responsible for these funds. He went on vacation in late December. It is likely that other people were involved in the abduction, as banknotes of this weight would be difficult to move for one person.
Police reportedly watched video from surveillance cameras at the casino, but the video was erased at the time of the theft.
“Investigators also said the money could still be on the island because it is difficult to move so much cash out of the country through airports or seaports,” the statement said.
