The Commercial Court of the Odessa Region opened proceedings in the bankruptcy case of the PJSC Football Club Chernomorets (Odessa).
The reason for opening a case was the statement of the club itself to start bankruptcy proceedings due to unprofitability, the inability to fulfill monetary obligations to creditors and the threat of insolvency.
Having considered the application, the court ruled: to open proceedings in the bankruptcy case of FC Chernomorets, introduce a moratorium on the satisfaction of creditors’ claims, introduce a procedure for disposing of the debtor’s property and appoint a property manager.
The next court hearing in the bankruptcy case of FC Chernomorets is scheduled for March 3.
According to the state register, ex-People’s Deputy Leonid Klimov, who controlled the bankrupt Imeksbank, is among the ultimate beneficial owners of FC Chernomorets.
