Health Minister Maxim Stepanov announced that in 2021, all patients in Ukraine who need a kidney transplant will perform such operations exclusively in domestic medical institutions.
“The Ministry of Health has set a goal in 2021 to conduct such operations for all citizens who need a kidney transplant, in Ukraine,” Stepanov said.

The head of the relevant ministry added that the Ministry of Health partners from the American Medical Center of the University of Hakensak, New Jersey, will help Ukraine to develop kidney transplantation, pancreas transplantation and transplant coordination in general.
Similar negotiations on the possibility of internships and training abroad for Ukrainian specialists are underway with leading clinics in Israel. They plan to send domestic doctors there. who specialize in bone marrow transplants.
