WhatsApp Messenger underwent a change of the user agreement since February 8 to May 15, it said in a statement.
The company explained that the messenger received “tons of feedback” from users who were unhappy with the recent update and the team will actively dispel rumors about the platform’s privacy principles.

WhatsApp is based on the principle of end-to-end encryption, thanks to which neither WhatsApp nor Facebook will have access to the personal correspondence of users, the company noted and added that the messenger team will not block or delete anyone’s accounts on February 8.
In early January, WhatsApp informed users of an update to its terms of use and privacy policy, requiring users to share personal information with Facebook.
Because of such actions, WhatsApp users began to massively switch to Telegram and Signal.
