Assigning gas to socially significant goods enables the state to regulate its prices.
The government included gas in the list of socially significant goods, the prices of which are regulated by the state.
This list was approved by the authorities in April last year in connection with the coronavirus pandemic. It includes a number of goods that are of important social importance, and anti-epidemic goods. In particular, the list of such goods includes buckwheat groats, flour, butter, bread, eggs, paracetamol, medical masks, and so on.

On the eve of the Cabinet of Ministers approved the maximum price for gas – by the end of the heating season it will be 6.99 hryvnia per cubic meter.
