Daria Snigur reached the quarterfinals of the ITF W25 series tournament in Fujairah.
In the 1/8 finals, the Ukrainian tennis player defeated Leonie Kung from Switzerland, who is 63rd ahead of Daria in the WTA ranking.
For reaching the semifinals, 18-year-old Snigur will play with the sixth seeded Christina Buksha from Spain.
This year Snigur started in qualifying for the Australian Open, but lost to the American Katie McNally in the first round.
