In the Italian city of Antholz, the women’s individual race started the stage of the Biathlon World Cup.
Julia Jima became the only biathlete out of 95, who closed all the targets in this race and, once again showing the best in the team and quite good overall speed.
Only Lisa Teresa Hauser, who has reached a qualitatively new level this season, was able to overtake Jim. It turned out to be 43.7 seconds faster. The Frenchwoman Chevalier-Boucher closed the top three.
On the other hand, Olena Pidhrushna became the 16th with one open target, and Valentyna Semerenko also won the points – 28 (2).
Jima became the first Ukrainian with this season to climb the podium of the World Cup race.
The successful start allowed our women’s team to consolidate its eighth position in the Nations Cup. Swedish biathletes continue to lead here.
