The Kyiv startup used inexpensive anti- drone technologies to create an unmanned aerial system for tracking the target in flight and striking.
The system consists of a special drone that destroys other drones, attacking them in the air.
According to the startup, after launch at the first stage of the flight, the drone-interceptor rises to a given height and then goes into horizontal flight to achieve maximum interception speed.
The drone interceptor system is equipped with a set of sensors for detecting, tracking and intercepting targets. To identify targets, the complex uses an external targeting system (radar, optical detectors, etc.). It and other sensors transmit real-time information about the intruder (azimuth, altitude, course and other data) to the interceptor control unit.
The control unit analyzes the information, determines the degree of possible threat and decides to attack the target independently (automatically) or as a team of operators, depending on the configuration of the complex.
When the target is at a distance of 20 meters, the drone is aimed at the target. Because the speed of the drone is high, the trajectory of the drone does not change and it is brought near the target, at a distance of about 3 m. The drone activates the warhead and hits the target. After attacking the target, the drone returns to the starting point and makes a vertical landing.
The warhead will be optional, with different modifications for different types of purposes and modes of operation.
The project is looking for an investor or partner to complete the development and commissioning of serial production.
Ukraine is currently looking for a site for the Turkish manufacturer Bayraktar for a company producing unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
“The Turkish side is ready to make an investment. They need a site from us with the appropriate requirements, on which they will build an enterprise, which will eventually produce these devices, ” – said Deputy Prime Minister – Minister for Strategic Industries Oleg Urusky.
The Deputy Prime Minister clarified that Bayraktar will employ Ukrainian engineers and designers at Ukraine, and it will receive the right to sell UAVs both in Ukraine and in other markets.
