Astronomers have hypothesized the existence of incredibly large black holes (SLABs) that are larger than the supermassive black holes in the centers of galaxies.
It is believed that there is some upper limit to the mass of large black holes due to the way they form and grow. Supermassive black holes reach between a million and ten billion times the mass of the Sun by absorbing stars and gas from their surroundings. However, in a new work, scientists have discovered that SLABs formed in a different way in the early universe, even before the appearance of galaxies. However, there is currently no evidence of the existence of these exotic objects.
