The National Commission for State Regulation in the Spheres of Energy and Utilities (NEURC) has adopted the Transmission System Development Plan for 2021 – 2030. The plan is a strategic nationwide baseline document for the development of the transmission system.
The plan provides for:
an increase in transformer capacity by 12,451 MVA;
construction of new power lines:
750 kV – 611 km;
500 kV – 61 km;
400 kV – 55 km;
330 kV – 2,390 km;
220 kV – 90 km.
Reconstruction:
61 substations;
1,537 km of 330 kV transmission lines;
10 km of 220 kV transmission lines;
replacement of 110-330 kV supports – 860 pcs.
Integration of the UPS of Ukraine with the grid of continental Europe (ENTSO-E)
According to the Action Plan for synchronization of the Unified Energy System of Ukraine with the interconnection of the energy systems of the EU countries, the following activities are planned:
- Construction of the substation 330 kV “Slobodskaya” with the approaches of the overhead line 330 kV.
- Construction of 330 kV overhead line Kurakhovskaya TPP – Belitskaya.
- Construction of the 330 kV overhead line “Kupyansk – Kreminskaya” using a share of the 500 kV overhead line “Donskaya – Donbasskaya”.
