The situation when the majority of Ukrainians receive subsidies, c. at. Minister of Energy Yuri Vitrenko called it abnormal.
He noted that subsidies suppress the dignity of citizens. They feel poor.
“It is an abnormal situation when most people in the country or a significant part receive subsidies. Because psychologically it is also bad for people, it is actually a signal to them that you are poor,” Yuri Vitrenko said during a press conference on January 22.
The Minister urges to look for mechanisms that will relieve the psychological burden on subsidy recipients and allow them to feel better.
“And we had the Revolution of Dignity in 2014, you know? So let’s take such moments into account. Let’s look for mechanisms that still make people feel better. They have such a bad life in order to make it even more uncomfortable,” – he summed up.
