Tariffs for central heating in Ukraine will not increase during this heating season.
This was stated during a speech in the Verkhovna Rada by the chairman of the National Commission for State Regulation of Energy and Utilities Valery Tarasyuk.
- We have agreed that in this heating season we will not allow an increase in tariffs for central heating and, accordingly, hot water supply. A corresponding memorandum should be signed together with NJSC Naftogaz. But the fact remains: tariffs will not increase this heating season, – he assured.
But Valery Tarasyuk added that the increase in tariffs for cold water is possible due to the fact that they are affected by the cost of electricity. However, the regulator is looking for opportunities to increase growth.
The other day, the gas supply company Naftogaz set the price of gas for the population in February at UAH 6.86 per cubic meter.
For customers who have drawn up the Annual tariff plan, the cost of gas will be UAH 4.73, UAH 5.24, and UAH 6.45 per cubic meter, in accordance with the terms of the agreements.
