The head coach of Juventus Turin, Andrea Pirlo, announced his intention to extend the contract with the club legend goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon.
“We hope that he will accept the offer to renew his contract. He is now in very good shape and is ready to help the team. Every day Gianluigi proves that he can still play football and we will all be very happy if he continues to do so,” – quoted Pirlo “Football Italia”.
The current contract of the 43-year-old keeper runs until June 2021.
In the current season, Buffon has seven matches for the “old senior”, four of which he played for zero. Recall that Buffon holds the Serie A record for the number of championship titles.
