In Japan, a robot has been invented that can harvest apples and pears.
The invention has artificial intelligence and it works no worse than humans. He himself determines whether the fruit is ripe for harvest, by color and other parameters and plucks it.
The robot moves on a small typewriter. The manipulator is equipped with three “fingers” with which it captures and plucks fruits. The car takes about 11 seconds to collect one fruit.
The National Organization for Agricultural and Food Research has proposed using mechanisms instead of people to reduce the burden on farmers. According to the creators of the robot, such technologies should attract young people for agricultural trials, for which there is a shortage of labor.
