There was a draw for the singles of the Australian Open. In the main grid, Ukraine will be represented by three tennis players.
Elina Svitolina and Marta Kostyuk will take part in the women’s tournament, and Serhiy Stakhovsky in the men’s tournament.
Svitolina, having the 5th WTA number and the 5th seed number, will fight against the Czech Maria Bouzkova (52 WTA) at the start of the competition. The score of the face-to-face matches is a draw of 1: 1.
Marta Kostyuk (78 WTA) will play a match against 32nd seed Veronika Kudermetova (36 WTA) in the first round. In the only match between them, the Ukrainian failed.
Serhiy Stakhovsky (201 ATP) will return to the Australian Open in five years with a match against the 23rd seeded Serbian Dusan Lajovic (26 ATP). In the statistics of their matches, Stakhovsky leads 3: 1.
The first round of the main grid of tennis competitions will start on February 8.
