On February 5, the Kherson Regional Department of Forestry and Hunting hosted an on-site technical meeting. A number of urgent production issues were considered, among which the launch of the 2021 forestry campaign is of paramount importance.
The enterprises coordinated by the management plan to create forest crops on the area of 414 hectares. For this purpose, standard planting material of the main forest-forming species was grown.
In order to exchange experience, a survey of forest nurseries of state forestry enterprises Velykokopanivske, Oleshkivske, Holoprystanske, soil preparation was carried out and technological processes were analyzed.
Taking into account the natural conditions of the Lower Dnieper Arena, the optimal temperatures of the “February windows”, sufficient soil moisture, it was decided to start a forestry campaign in the forests of the Lower Dnieper as soon as possible.
