What is happiness for you? Such a simple and at the same time profound question. It is different for everyone, however, for most Ukrainians, it is seen not in large fortunes, not in a new iPhone, but in simple, earthly things.
Ukrainian research company Gradus Research decided to find out whether there are happy people in our country, at what age Ukrainians are happiest, who are happier men or women, as well as whether the region of residence affects the level of happiness.
What makes Ukrainians happy:
- The health of their loved ones (78%)

Financial security (65%)

Safe and peaceful life (51%)

The presence of (children, husband/wife) (47%)

The happiness of loved ones ( 46%).
According to research, women in Ukraine are happier: they rated their level of happiness at 6.2 points, while men are happy at only 5.6 on a 10-point scale.
People aged 35 to 44 consider themselves the happiest in Ukraine, young people aged 18-24 and 25-34 are in second place, 45-54 are in third place, and unhappy people are 55-60 years old.
The happiest people in Ukraine live in the northern part of the country, in second place – the people of the East, in third place – people who live in the South, in Kiev and the Center, and the unhappiest – in the western part.
The survey was conducted by Gradus by self-completion of the questionnaire in the mobile application. The Gradus online panel displays the population structure of cities with more than 50,000 inhabitants aged 18-60 by gender, age, size of the settlement, and region. 1000 respondents took part in the survey.
