Social media shared pictures of Trump’s hotel and casino in Atlantic City, which were destroyed.
Trump opened his hotel 37 years ago, as the hotel is Trump’s first property in this coastal town of America, and it opened in 1984 and has not undergone any maintenance since its closure. While it closed its doors in 2014.
Since 2016, the two-block complex has been the property of billionaire investor Carl Icahn, who was one of Trump’s main funders in Atlantic City.
In mid-June, Atlantic City Mayor Marty Small announced the demolition of the building after legal action was taken over what he saw as a danger to residents. At the time Icahn did not provide details of what will happen after the demolition.
Trump filed a lawsuit in 2014 requesting that his name be removed from the facade of the building, considering that this was harmful to Trump’s name and trademark.
The hotel was destroyed and reduced to rubble after it was destroyed using 3,000 dynamite sticks on Wednesday.
