Japanese billionaire Yusaku Maezawa announced his willingness to pay for a trip around the moon on the Elona Musk SpaceX spacecraft board for eight people of “different nationalities”.

Maezawa said he would pay for the entire flight, so whoever arrived on the plane would fly for free.
Maezawa said that candidates should have two criteria: they must promote “whatever activity” they participate in, “in a way that helps others and the community,” and they be prepared to support other crew members who share similar aspirations.
“I have bought all the seats, so it will be a special trip,” added the billionaire.
The mission, called dearmoon, is scheduled to take off in 2023.
