Ukrainian singer Jamala has released a new studio album called “We”.
She announced the release of the new album on her social network page. The album is already available for listening to on the singer’s YouTube channel.
“This is a very special album for me. And not only because it raises personal themes, but also because it is inspired by people, our feelings with you,” Jamala wrote.
The singer described the songs included in the album as follows: “Love, strength, gratitude, faith, and forgiveness.” She added that there are other emotions in the album – a little frivolity and a drop of disappointment.
Describing the album, she noted that the leitmotif of all the songs is gratitude, faith in themselves, in their children, so that real people can grow out of them.
“To love ourselves, we need to have the strength that we have inside. But we constantly listen to others, as if someone can know better how to live. The strength is in you! Love in you! Faith in you!”.
Creativity of Jamala
On February 26, a new single by Jamali called “Grateful” was released.
Jamala won the Eurovision Song Contest in Sweden in 2016. She won by performing a song called “1944” about the deportation of the Crimean Tatar people.
