Google plans to begin withholding income tax on YouTube bloggers from June 2021. This is stated in the message of the company.
Google intends to tax the income generated by bloggers from viewing the content in the United States. We are talking about profit, including from ad views, YouTube Premium service, super chat, and sponsorship.
Bloggers are required to submit tax information to Google Adsense by May 31, with tax rates varying from 0% to 30% depending on whether there is a double taxation treaty between countries.
If a user does not submit tax information to AdSense by the end of May, all of their YouTube earnings will be automatically taxed at a rate of up to 24%. That is, the tax will be withheld on the entire amount, and not just on income that is received through viewing content in the United States, the message says.
