Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky made a phone call with Swedish Prime Minister Stefan Lovian, in which they discussed many important issues, most notably confronting Coronavirus, as they reviewed the efforts made to combat Coronavirus in both countries. We are pleased to welcome you to the inaugural summit of the Crimean platform in Kiev on August 23.”
The two parties also discussed enhancing defense cooperation opportunities and the prospects for interaction between the two countries under the umbrella of NATO. In turn, Leuven praised the Ukrainian leadership for its role in achieving reforms and achieving rapprochement with the European Union..As for the economic level, the two sides agreed to expand trade cooperation between the two countries, as Zelensky said: “Our priority is to find new ways to return bilateral trade trends to the levels that preceded the COVID pandemic. -19″.
Zelensky also welcomed the entry of international and well-known Swedish brands to the Ukrainian market, especially the opening of the first IKEA branch in Kiev. The two sides also demonstrated the initiation of an initiative to adopt the Swedish experience in building waste treatment in Ukraine, and Lovin invited the Ukrainian President to attend the first forum of Holocaust remembrance and anti-Semitism, which will be held on October 1.
