Ukrzaliznytsia (UZ) has decided to continue running the Intercity + high-speed train on the Kyiv-Slavske (Ski Express) route for the summer season.
“We are moving towards the development of domestic tourism and introduce the direction of the high-speed train” Intercity + “№745 Kyiv – Slavske in spring and summer. It was also decided to rename this train from “Ski Express” to “Boykivsky Express”, because the Carpathians can offer many tourist and sports opportunities not only in winter, “the press service of the acting Oleksandr Pertsovsky, Member of the Management Board, Director of the Passenger Company Branch of Ukrzaliznytsia JSC.
According to him, the company also plans to study the possibility of appointing a high-speed train of the “Intercity” category between Kharkiv and Dnipro with the possibility of continuing to Melitopol.
It will be recalled that Ukrzaliznytsia launched a new high-speed Intercity train (№745 / 746) on the Kyiv-Slavske route on December 15, 2020.
Plans ” UZ ” for the summer
Ukrzaliznytsia is ready to launch at least 30 trains in popular directions in the summer season.
Also on March 17, 2021, Ukrzaliznytsia presented updated food on Intercity trains.
At the same time, the company plans to increase the tariff for passenger traffic by 2% per month in 2021, starting in March.
