18 Thousand Cases of COVID-19 in One Day in Ukraine

According to the message of the Minister of Health of Ukraine Maxim Stepanov, in Ukraine, 1.614 million cases of coronavirus disease COVID-19 have already been recorded, the daily increase, as of March 25, is 18.1 thousand, an anti-record. Hospitalizations per day – 4.8 thousand. The high rate of fatalities per day – 326.

Over the past 24hrs, coronavirus has been detected in 18,132 people in Ukraine, including 923 children and 435 health workers. There were also 326 deaths, 7138 patients recovered, 4,826 people were hospitalized.

In Ukraine, for the second day in a row, a record number of infected COVID-19 during the entire pandemic. The day before, 16,669 new cases of infection were detected.

Before yesterday’s record, the last maximum increase in patients was recorded in Ukraine on November 28, 2020, when there were 16,294 new cases per day.

Laboratories performed 119,087 tests for coronavirus per day : by PCR – 53,495, by ELISA – 22,760. Also performed 42,832 rapid tests for the antigen to the virus. In total, more than 7.8 million PCR tests were conducted in Ukraine.

The largest number of confirmed cases was registered yesterday in Odesa (1,545), Dnipropetrovsk (1,358), Lviv (1,304), Kharkiv (1,204) oblasts and in Kyiv (1,164).

In total, 1,614,707 people fell ill during the pandemic in Ukraine, of whom 1,290,158 recovered and 31,461 died.

Kyiv region – 1,139 cases / 1,380 vaccinations;

Kirovohrad region – 193 cases / 630 vaccinations;

Luhansk region – 131 cases / 280 vaccinations;

Lviv region – 1,304 cases / 1,050 vaccinations;

Mykolaiv region – 534 cases / 760 vaccinations;

Odessa region – 1,545 cases / 330 vaccinations;

Poltava region – 669 cases / 690 vaccinations;

Rivne region – 554 cases / 670 vaccinations;

Sumy region – 633 cases / 1,100 vaccinations;

Ternopil region – 627 cases / 820 vaccinations;

Kharkiv region – 1,204 cases / 480 vaccinations;

Kherson region – 177 cases / 950 vaccinations;

Data from the temporarily occupied territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk oblasts, and the city of Sevastopol are missing.

Vaccination was carried out by 168 mobile immunization teams and 483 vaccination points.
