“For the overwhelming majority of people, domestic violence is a traditionally ingrained norm established by generations. Victims of domestic violence (mainly women) cannot properly fulfill their parental responsibilities, as a result of which the level of social orphanhood is increasing,” the message says.
The ministry notes that violence against women and girls negatively affects their reproductive health, as a result of which the birth rate decreases and the number of newborns with health problems increases.
