The Minister of Health of Ukraine Maxim Stepanov announced that in Ukraine, 1.691 million cases of COVID-19 coronavirus disease have already been recorded, the daily increase as of March 31 was 17.5 thousand, an increase compared to the previous day. The high rate of hospitalizations per day is 5.1 thousand. Again, the anti-record for fatalities – 421.

In Ukraine, 17,569 new cases of coronavirus disease were detected per day. In particular, 813 children and 486 health workers fell ill.
According to him, 5,160 people were hospitalized during the day; 421 fatalities were recorded; 9,602 people recovered.
In addition, 132,759 tests were performed per day (including 59,803 by PCR, 22,276 by ELISA, and 50,680 tests by rapid tests for SARS-CoV-2 antigen).
During the whole pandemic in Ukraine:
fell ill – 1,691,737 people;
recovered – 1,323,083 people;
fatalities – 33,246;
PCR tests were performed – 8,179,905.
Over the last 24 hours, the largest number of confirmed cases was registered in Kyiv (1,150), Odesa (1,305), Khmelnytsky (1,142), Lviv (1,141) and Zhytomyr (1,037) oblasts.
Stepanov also said that 17,170 people were vaccinated against COVID-19 on March 31, 2021, in Ukraine.
“248,736 people have been vaccinated since the beginning of the vaccination campaign, 248,734 of them received 1 dose, 2 people completed the vaccination (received 2 doses),” the minister wrote.

According to Worldometer, a resource that monitors the situation with the coronavirus in the world, Ukraine ranks 16th in distribution and 18th in the number of deaths from COVID-19.
