David Arahamiya, the leader of the Servant of the People faction, told a plenary session of the Verkhovna Rada on Wednesday what the presidential faction plans to do with the scandalous People’s Deputy Oleksandr Dubinsky, who is under US sanctions.
“We in the faction will do everything electronically this week. All protocols, we will keep everything. And thus we systematize the whole process in the “Servant of the People”. The first such electronic voting in our application will be for Dubinsky, so that the whole faction will take part,” – said Arahamiya near the walls of the Rada, commenting on the situation with Dubinsky.
According to him, such situations “discipline” the “Servant of the People” faction. He also added that the “servants” had an open conversation, and now he is studying “different sentiments in the faction.”
As for Dubinsky, we in the faction decided to vote on three options. The first option is a bit exotic – to support Dubinsky, that is, to send letters in support of him somewhere. The second option is to exclude him from the faction. The third option is to initiate a vote in parliament to deprive Dubinsky of his position in the Verkhovna Rada committee, – summed up Arahamiya.
Dubinsky is considered a representative of oligarch Igor Kolomoisky in the People’s Servant. At a meeting of the Servant of the People faction on January 25, President Volodymyr Zelensky suggested that Dubinsky leave the faction voluntarily, but he refused.
