On January 28, the police, the National Guard, and other services launched increased duty in Kiev due to the planned mass protests.
“In order to prevent violations of public order and to ensure the peaceful conduct of the planned actions in the capital, law enforcement officers, together with the military personnel of the National Guard, began to intensify their service,” the message says.
On January 28, protests are planned near the Verkhovna Rada, the President’s Office, the US Embassy, the Constitutional Court, and on Independence Square.
The Kiev police, the State Emergency Service, the National Guards, dog handlers, and explosives technicians switched over to increased service.
Due to the planned processions to the buildings of state power during the actions, traffic on some streets in the center of Kiev may be limited.
“At the same time, the police call on the organizers and participants of the action to comply with the norms of the current legislation, quarantine and not violate public order,” the law enforcement officers noted.
