Ukrainian national team midfielder Viktor Kovalenko will become a player of Atalanta.
Negotiations between Atalanta and the Ukrainian midfielder of Shakhtar took place throughout January. Kovalenko ended his contract with the Donetsk club this summer and it was reported that he had already signed a preliminary contract with Atalanta.
But Bergamo agreed to arrange a transfer in winter so that Shakhtar would receive compensation for their footballer. Kovalenko’s transfer will cost Atalanta 1 million euros and will take place in the coming days. Already on the weekend, the player must undergo a medical examination.
