Almost everyone is familiar with the state of acute toothache. If at the same time it is not possible to immediately get to the dentist and even an anesthetic pill cannot help, you should try using proven home remedies that can, if not completely remove, then at least alleviate the pain syndrome.
Among these methods, “seawater”.
Saltwater works as a natural antiseptic that will wash away all the “debris” from an aching tooth and protect it from further inflammation. To prepare this gargle, add a little salt to a glass of warm water and stir well to melt. Rinse your mouth for 30 seconds.
A cold compress can also help relieve tooth pain. Wet cloth or ice is fine, but should be handled with care to avoid frostbite. Due to the cold, the blood vessels constrict, and this reduces pain as well as inflammation.
Garlic is one of the oldest but effective methods. A clove of garlic should be chopped into a thick paste. Apply it to the sore spot, but be careful: garlic can cause burns, so it should not be “overexposed”. If you’re afraid, you can just chew the garlic.
If you have clove oil in your home, that’s great news for aching teeth. The mild anesthetic eugenol, which contains cloves, perfectly relieves pain and soothes nerve endings. Apply a small amount of clove oil to a cotton swab and dab it over the affected area. To improve the effect, this can be done several times a day.
Mint tea, especially in bags, is also suitable as first aid for a sore tooth. Take a used mint tea bag and let it cool. Then apply it to your aching teeth for a few minutes. This helps to dampen pain and soothe sensitive gums. For the best effect, the bag can be held in the freezer for a while.
Vanilla extract contains antioxidants and a small amount of alcohol to help reduce pain and inflammation.
Using wheatgrass juice as a mouthwash can work wonders for people who have constant dental problems. Plant sap contains chlorophyll, which fights harmful bacteria, which is often the cause of inflammation.
