The Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Serhiy Shkarlet and the President of the International Association of Extracurricular Education Olena Bykovska signed a Memorandum of Cooperation and Interaction between the Ministry of Education and Science and the Ministry of Education and Science.
“The main aim of the cooperation is the focus of efforts to establish effective cooperation, public participation in improving the formulation and implementation of state policy in the field of adult education, adult education business establishments and other subjects of educational activity “, – said Sergey Shkarlet.
According to the Minister, given the importance of out-of-school education and the right of every child to receive it, it is important to intensify local government to support the education of students in out-of-school education at the local level.
“In the year of the 30th anniversary of Ukraine’s Independence, a Memorandum of Cooperation and Interaction between the Ministry of Education and Science and the Ministry of Education and Science is being signed. This MOU is a result of our joint work on the development of adult education at the national level, support adult education institutions of education “, – said MAPS President Helen Bykovskaya.
She also presented the Partnership 2020 honorary award to the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine on behalf of the International Association of Extracurricular Education.
The Executive Director of the Association, Director of the Center for Extracurricular Activities of Sviatoshynskyi District of Kyiv Natalia Savenko and Head of the Kyiv Branch of MAPO, Director of the Center for Scientific and Technical Creativity of Youth “Sphere” Obolonskyi District of Kyiv Oleksandr took part in signing the Memorandum from the International Association of Extracurricular Education. In August 2020 the leadership of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine met with members of the Board of the International Association of Extracurricular Education to discuss a state-public partnership in extracurricular education, joint steps to implement children’s rights to extracurricular education.
