Host, showman, and volunteer Serhiy Prytula did not join the new composition of the political council of the Voice party.
The party explained that Mr. Prytula was a member of the previous political council, which dealt with local elections. The new composition of the political council of the Voice is faced with the task: to implement the National Plan of the party for 2021 – the leader is not engaged in this. At the same time, he remained a member of the party.
“The Voice party works systematically, so party members are elected to positions that will deal with specific areas and tasks. The previous members of the political council and the deputy chairmen of the party were engaged in local elections. Now the party members have chosen a new composition – to implement the National Plan of the “Voice” for 2021. The party congress expelled him from the political council because the previous composition of the political council was elected for a specific task – local elections. Now the task is to implement this national plan, “the Voice said.
The composition of the political council may change annually.
On August 11, 2020 congress of party «Voice» decided that the leader Sergey Prytula will run for the mayor of Kiev. Nevertheless, on August 12, Novyi Kanal announced that the showman had not announced the termination of cooperation with the channel and continued to work on the channel’s projects: “Children Against the Stars”, “Crazy Show” and “Who’s on Top”.
However, on August 19, it became known that Serhiy Prytula was leaving the Crazy Show project and ending his acting career. In addition, he said that he would run for the post of Kyiv mayor at the expense of the political party “Voice”, and created a team of team players and specialists.
On September 30, Ukrayinska Pravda reported that Serhiy Prytula was being prepared for the local elections by a team of well-known bloggers and public activists, including Toronto Television bloggers and authors known as Anton Khodza and Ivan Oberemko. Toronto Television, in turn, said it was not involved in the host’s election campaign. According to the results of the election, he took third place, losing to the current mayor of the capital Vitali Klitschko and the candidate from OPZH Alexander Popov.
In November, Serhiy Prytula said that he would remain the host of the New Channel and Radio NV, but would not return to Crazy Show. He then said that he remained a member of the political council of the Voice party and deputy chairman of the party. The presenter also intended to run for the Verkhovna Rada.
