It turned out that our stress can be transmitted to those around us. Experts who have studied this issue have stated that stress can spread like an infectious disease.
Yes, the scientists conducted an experiment for which they invited volunteers. The results showed that a person has a short enough period of time to be near someone who is in a state of stress to “catch” his mood and condition.
Participants in the scientific experiment were divided into two separate groups, each of which had 4-5 people. Experts have tried to form a sense of unity in all. Then the person from each group had to solve a difficult problem, and the rest at this point just watched him.
In those who observed, the scientists took saliva to analyze their stress hormones. And people were easily stressed when they felt united. But even the presence of a person in a state of stress can provoke the activation of biological stressors. This, in particular, increased the production of the hormone cortisol. The results of the study allow us to approach the creation of new effective techniques for combating stress, summarize foreign experts.
