Google’s new initiative called “App Quality”, as you might guess is focused on improving the overall quality of mobile applications for Android devices. On a special website, the company listed the main criteria that developers should adhere to in their products.

To enhance the functionality of apps, Google recommends using the HEVC video compression format, the proprietary Android Share sheet, and following the recommendations for running apps in the background to save battery power. Additionally, the company outlined information on improving performance and stability, as well as application privacy and security.
