Ukraine is planning to introduce changes in driver’s licenses.
The document is planned to reflect information about the driver who wears glasses, contact lenses, an eye patch, hearing aid or limb prosthesis. This is stated in the draft amendments to the “Regulations on the procedure for issuing driver licenses and admitting citizens to drive vehicles, approved by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated May 8, 1993, No. 340”.
They also want to prescribe in the driver’s license mandatory design features for a driven vehicle (TC) using special codes. These will be the following restrictions imposed on the driver:
- vehicle control only during daytime;

radius of vehicle control from the place of residence or city/region;

vehicle management without passengers;

vehicle control at a certain speed;

vehicle control only with escort;

without a trailer;

prohibition of vehicle control on highways;

only driving vehicles equipped with Alco locks, in accordance with EN 50436.
