He noted that the Lesia Ukrainka Ukrainian Library is the only library in Chisinau that meets the population’s demand for literature in the Ukrainian language.
In addition, only here is stored literature that tells about the life and work of Moldovan Ukrainians.
According to the counselor-envoy, the funds of the institution contain more than 18,000 literary titles, a quarter of which are in Ukrainian.
Every year, the Ukrainian library, which is a branch of the Bohdan Petrycheika Hazhdeu municipal library, serves more than 4,000 readers, 40% of whom are Ukrainians.
“In order for the memory of the indomitable Lesya to live in Chisinau and Moldova, the staff of the library named after her is working. We congratulate him on his thirtieth birthday and wish him many years and interesting literary projects!” The Ukrainian diplomat summed up.
