On February 18, 2021 – Airbus announced its participation in the next edition of the International Defense Exhibition and Conference (IDEX) 2021, which will be held in Abu Dhabi to review its portfolio of solutions for defense and security forces.
Airbus is joining a group of international exhibitors participating in the exhibition, which will be held from 21-25 November at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center. From its location within Atlas Group Pavilion No. CP-225 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center, Airbus is showcasing several innovative solutions, including Tactilon Agent 500 and 800, BorderCore, Man-Pack, as well as Tactilon Tanks and the base station TB. 4 “TB4.
Tactilon Agent 500 is a flexible and scalable solution in the form of a shared smart platform for multimedia communication and data sharing.
Thanks to its design for emergency and crisis missions, this solution provides push-to-talk and messaging features to transfer data, video, and audio clips between team members, using various devices including radio, smartphones, mobile devices, and computers.
During the exhibition, Airbus is also introducing a Border Core solution designed to support security measures within land, sea, and air borders. The solution provides high-quality monitoring features, as well as several features that provide real-time visualization to support risk assessments and rapid, efficient, and timely response.
The company is showcasing the ManBack solution, which is a portable, closed-loop tactical case for LTE LTE networks integrated into the Tactilon Agent solution.
The Man Pack was designed specifically for special forces operations on the front lines and is characterized by its lightweight, ease of use, and the ability to operate within a few minutes, to provide voice and video communication services through direct contact with the operations headquarters.
Airbus‘ participation in IDEX 2021 also witnesses the presentation of the Tactilon Agent 800 app and the Tactilon Dabat device, which combines the features of smartphones and Tetra devices. Thanks to the hybrid roaming feature, users can make calls efficiently, and seamlessly switch between TETRA or LTE services, depending on availability.
The company introduces the TB4 solution, which is a hybrid base station that supports TETRA and 4G and 5G technologies. The solution provides security team members with advanced data sharing features and secure voice services to ensure coordination of operations.
